Medal Count - Yahoo! Sports coverage of the Winter Olympics in Vancouver

Up by 3 overall now and 1 more gold than the rest. Germany is keeping it close and it will continue, might even take 2nd like last time to them. They're tough, but we've blew a couple too.

Should be a great day for us today. Men's hockey up fast 1-0 on Norway on USA,with the women in a battle of unbeatens with Finland at 5:30 on CNBC. Later on tonight the US-Russia battle on ice in figure skating.

Absolute shocker on CNBC right now as the Swiss are dragging mighty Canada into the 3rd period tied at 2. Wonder how those critical announcers who were dogging us all day through our 6-1 win over Norway (a game where we certainly can do much better-especially with defensive decisions),talking about how Canada will embarrass us Sunday are feeling now? I heard one refer to Switzerland as a "sacrificial lamb" for Canada earlier today. Looks like somebody forgot to tell the Swiss. I was impressed with them vs us the other day,and I like them tonight. These guys are technically sound-especially on defense. Canada may be a bit over-hyped (much like Sweden who was very unimpressive vs Germany yesterday). Later tonight Russia-Slovakia. Also our women finished pool play unbeaten,thumping previously unbeaten Finland 6-0.

Our men's curling team is really ****ing me off. 4 chances to win the game at the end and can't win one? Let someone else throw in that guys place.I don't care if he is the captain or not.

My "scare you to death" team,the team I have been warning folks about just knocks off the consensus gold-medal favorite Russia 2-1 in the 7th shootout phase. Great day of hockey with 2 games going to shootouts today (Canada survived Switzerland 3-2 in the other)

Bill Buckner has nothing on John Shuster. We are at 0-4 because this doofus bricks 4 game-winning shots. They should have axed him after he cost us the second game.

Technically if he lost the game yesterday on the last shot, its more than 4 misses because he missed 2 different frames earlier terribly bad. I think a python is wrapped around his neck.
